2015. A new year. It is hard to believe. I am 53 years old. It has almost been three years since my two strokes. I have been doing therapy ever since. I never thought my life would be like this. But, it is what it is. When I feel sorry for myself, I often think of Helen Keller. She overcame so much adversity. She said, “Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties.” Great advice. For my New Year’s resolutions, I try to live up to her example.
